Providing superior translation quality and expertise for over 14 yearsAdvanced Language Translation was founded in 1994, beginning as a one-person translation agency. From day one, ALT has provided high quality translation services, but early in the company's evolution information technology played a vital role in how ALT served its clients. In the intervening fourteen years, ALT has grown to include a staff of project managers, localization specialists, and desktop publishing experts with a distinct focus on information technology. Our network of linguists has grown to over 1000, and our list of supported languages has more than doubled. Since our founding, we've dealt with thousands of translation projects in a multitude of content areas. ALT's translations have appeared in product packaging, marketing pieces, training programs, user manuals, websites, software applications, multimedia programs, and corporate videos just to name a few. In 1995 ALT launched Altrans.com, our first website. Since then ALT's site has grown from a typical online brochure into an invaluable resource to our clients and colleagues. Traffic to our site has also increased dramatically from a few thousand hits a month to over 300,000 per month. In 1999 we launched AdvancedLanguage.com. In the future, ALT will continue to break new ground in subsequent releases of our website. 2001 marked the release of MultlingualMicrosite.com, ALT’s multilingual website solutions for small and medium-sized companies. Advanced Language Translation Inc. achieved ISO 9001:2000 certification following our registration audit January 12 and 13, 2004. ALT is based in Rochester, New York, which is situated in Western New York along the southern shore of Lake Ontario. Rochester is home to Xerox Corporation, Eastman Kodak Company, Paychex and Bausch & Lomb. Corning Incorporated is a mere 90-minute drive from our doorstep. The Genesee Valley region is also quickly becoming a hotbed of hi-tech development, drawing on the engineering and business talent of these major corporations, as well as world-class educational institutions located in and around Rochester. Rochester is a mere 1-hour flight from New York City (or seven hour drive), just a 60-minutes drive from Buffalo, NY, four hours from Albany, and three from Toronto.
